We went trick-or-treating for the first time and it was so much fun. At the church party is when Owen discovered that if you say "Trick-or-Treat" they give you candy. SO after that he wanted to go. We went to a few houses and ended up with a bag full of only blue wrapped candy. Who knew there are so many pieces of candy with blue wrappers. Luckily for my diet (that I still need to start) they are all gross and I will not be eating any. Anyway, it was totally fun and we are excited for Christmas.

More Pictures

More pictures (thanks again Steph)! These may be the only ones where they are looking at the camera. Hopefully, we can get Owen to take a good picture WITH Gwen! Joel says we should audition Owen for a Spanish soap opera. Probably not! We think they are both pretty cute but we may be a little biased.

She's Here

Gwenyth Vivian Blickenstaff arrived at 3:34 a.m. on September 23rd. Preemie clothes are all that fits at 5 pounds 15 ounces! Note to self...don't wait until you are in hard labor to go to the hospital...you don't have time to get an epidural! More pictures to come when I am feeling less lazy! Thanks for the great pics Steph. Go here for her gallery http://stephaniecrosby.net/blog/?p=661

Cocoa Powder Anyone?!
While I was making dinner tonight, I was rushing in and out checking on the grill to make sure the chicken wasn't burning, when I came in to this! Owen had taken the cocoa powder out of the cupboard and put it upside down inside of the cheese grater. Then he carried it around the kitchen shaking it and this is what we got! When he saw my eyes bulge out of their sockets, he knew he didn't just do a good thing. I called for Joel to help (he went and got the camera) and Owen started crying. We had to explain to him that he wasn't in trouble but we shouldn't make messes. Owen wouldn't take a picture so we ate dinner and he would say "Ohn meh" (Owen's mess). And then he was willing to take pictures. Notice the footprints!
Ohn's meh!
Ta da!

Fourth of July
Since we didn't want to spend a billion dollars on fireworks we watched our neighbors (apparently they didn't mind spending a billion, well at least several hundred) from the porch (our price=FREE). We kept Owen up (bad parents) but he liked them. He kept saying "yites" (lights), "hot," and "whoa." I think in the end it turned out to be a good thing we kept him up because the neighbors kept going until about 11 and when Owen went to bed, he was out and the loud noises didn't even keep him up!

Joel's Birthday
Notice no cake. Since Joel doesn't like cake he asked for donuts for his birthday. I was okay with it because I didn't have to make anything. He even told me specifically what donuts to get. Owen didn't want his so I sacrificed the extra calories and ate it myself!
I thought this picture of Owen was cute. He always wants to play on the "puter."

Playing Outside
When it's not too hot outside (which seems like never) we like to play outside.
We like to play with sticks.
Dump our cup of water in the sandbox.
And just run around and get hot and sweaty. Notice the pink cheeks...that's why we don't dump our water in the sandbox!
